Lemongrass Oil

It grows in the tropical region of India and also forms dense clumps. It is a long and rigid plant with liner gray-green coloured leaves. While rubbing or crushing it, you will get a strong smell of lemon. We produce top-grade lemongrass essential oil in India by steam distilled process. We use it as the source of the natural extraction of the citral molecule. Some lemongrass essential oils include- Ceylonese or Sri Lankan lemongrass (Cymbopogon Nardus), Java-type citronella grass (Cymbopogon Winterianus), East Indian lemongrass (Cymbopogon Flexuosus), West Indian lemongrass (Cymbopogon Citratus) and Palmarosa (Cymbopogon Martinii Var Motia) etc. In addition, it is also used as the fodder for livestock in the tropical regions. It is often mixed with molasses from the sugarcane industry.
